China Rose Radish Sprouts Thanks to their high vitamin C content (they contain twice as much as radish root), they boost the body's immunity. They're a great cold remedy and also have expectorant properties. The high sulfur content in radish sprouts has a beneficial effect on the skin, hair, and nails. Radish sprouts have a sharp, peppery, and distinctive flavor almost identical to radish root. They're added to salads, sandwiches, cottage cheese, eggs, and even ground into soups. Preparing the sprouts: Producing sprouts at home is very easy to do using Toraf sprouter . Following the instructions, sprouts are ready to eat after 3-6 days. The sprouter allows for the simultaneous cultivation of three types of sprouts.
Another method for sprouting is to grow them in a jar. To do this, rinse the seeds, then pour them into a previously sterilized container and cover with boiled lukewarm water. Soak for several hours, then drain the water and rinse the seeds. Cover the container with cheesecloth, tie it, and set aside in a warm (18-22°C) location out of direct sunlight. During this time, rinse the sprouts with water twice daily. The sprouts are ready to eat after 3-6 days when they are approximately 1-2 cm long.
